ACTIVISION CEO SAYS IT WAS ‘EASY’ TO FIRE INFINITY WARD CO-FOUNDERS

Activision Blizzard CEO Robert Kotick was interviewed and profiled by The New York Times today. In the interview Kotick was discussing Infinity Ward’s issues back in 2010. The Co-Founders of Infinity Ward studio Vince Zampella and Jason West both were fired from Infinity Ward in 2010 after they got in a big law suite claim with Activision over a fraud issue.

Now in the interview with Kotick he claims it was an easy decision to fire Infinity Ward co-founders.

“You find out two executives are planning to break their contracts, keep the money you gave them, and steal 40 employees. What do you do? You fire them..” Kotick said.

ANTI-CALL OF DUTY FANS FLAG NEW TRAILER ON YOUTUBE 

Anti-Call of Duty sediment has caused the “Surprise” teaser trailer to be taken down. Youtube users that are critical of the series flagged the video, causing Youtube to remove the video in violation of their policy against ‘spam, scams and commercially deceptive content’.  Pretty sure the system is automated and when enough users report a video it’s automatically taken down but still kinda funny that user have figured out a way to give Activision the virtual F-U.

FUCK… IS IT WRONG TO CHEAT IN VIDEO GAMES?

Being a short tempered individual, I finally got pissed off enough to use a duplication glitch in the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft. Play Minecraft they said.. It will be fun they said.. Fuck lava. Fuck creepers. Fuck falling from a high height. Fuck those cock sucking pigs. Fuck. Fuck. fuCK. FUCK. FUCK. Finally I threw my hands up. After 6 fucking hours of mining and only having one goddamn mother fucking diamond to show for it I gave up. Fuck ‘legal’ tactics. Put diamond in center slot of the dispenser, have friend hack away at dispenser, remove diamond as the dispenser is destroyed. Let me say this, I regret nothing. Diligently I dug for hours on end to no avail. So I took matters into my own hands. But in the end is it right? So I ask the question “Is it wrong to cheat the system in video games?”

GHOST RECON DLC ANNOUNCED… WAIT ISN’T THE GAME SUPPOSE TO COME OUT FIRST??

Ghost Recon Future Soldier doesn’t come out for another week and a half but Ubisoft is already letting the public know that DLC will be available this July. The “Arctic Strike Map Pack” will be ready for download July 3 at the price of $10. The pack will include new maps, a new multiplayer mode, weapons “to give you the supreme edge over your enemies,” and a co-op map for Guerilla Mode.

Just to voice my little bullshit opinion, I really feel that it’s absolute bullshit that game companies are just announcing DLC pre-game release make us gamers pay more money in the long run. It really seems like gaming companies are just releasing incomplete games and expecting the consumer to pay full price.
